Favorite Strat Color

Man... I just like them. The only colors I don't like are red because I think it's a cliche by now. Black too. Everything else I like, which works against me. What are your favorite strat colors/finishes?

I've been thinking white body/gold pickguard... but I'm getting a brazilian board and the more I think about it the more I think it wouldn't mesh.

Color wise. I think maple board/white body/gold pickguard is much better looking. But I like the alder and rosewood combo for sound.

OK, D-O-C, here goes:

Fiesta Red (British variant) closely followed by Sea Foam Green followed by the very dark 2 tone Sunburst followed by the SRV type Sunburst followed by Candy Apple Red. Hey, I have all of those!

I have the Fiesta sitting next to the Sea Foam in my kitchen and they both look superb together - complementary colors?

Hey Ben, Sometimes they sprayed a coat of nitro over the color and that yellows over time. Likewise some guitars have the misfortune of sitting in a sunny shop window for months on end. look here for the fender color chart

well, I really can't stand white-pickguards on strats, unless it's got a white body. My strat at the mo has a cream body and red tortoiseshell guard - and that was a dream for ages! my awsome baby... ^_^ in fact, white bodies or natural wood bodies with coloured pickguards are probably my faves.

reeeaaaaally want to try n get hold of a blue tortoiseshell pickguard... anyone ever heard of one?

It's the new Fender American Deluxe "V" Neck Strat.
What you are looking at is Honey Blonde with Beveled Copper Vinyl guard.

I love how it looks. I don't believe that guard is available any other way than on this model and this model only.

I have seen a few online sites that sell wooden pickguards. They look really great but cost an arm and a leg. I wouldn't mind seeing what a quilted maple pickguard would look like on a sunburst strat...oh the possibilities.

I really like black with maple board. I like other combinations too, particularly surf colors with single ply guards, but black is my most favorite.
