Replacing tuning machines. Please help!

Hello,

I have a Gibson Les Paul Studio’91.

I would like to replace old "Gibson tuners" by*TonePros Kluson or Gotoh but I'm looking for a direct replacement because I don't want to to drill my guitar headstock. Of course I’m looking for*tuning machines of the exact bushing size of actual tuners (including flange diameter)

I heard tonepros TPKB3 are a good option. Is that correct? Are there other good options for my guitar?

I put Gotoh locking tuners on my Studio and they were a drop in replacement.

It had the standard Gibson Deluxe Kluson style tuners.

There are also adaptor bushings like these, but same size would of course be better

You know - I forgot about the bushings - yes you'll need to press in conversion bushings, but I don't remember if they came with the tuners, or not it's been a while.

If you don't want to drill holes then the Kluson style tuners are not for you. Gotoh maybe Grover will fit that.

Go with the Gotoh ones. They make a series with the offset mounting hole just like those. The Klusons are overpriced anyway.
