Hypothetical: You are being dropped off on an island with only yourself, a cd player, and three albums of your choice.

Which three albums do you choose to bring?

Mine would have to be:
1) superunknown - Soundgarden
2) facelift - Alice In Chains
3) purple - stone temple pilots

Well, you don't show a lot of diversity...

But mine:

-Elton John Yellow Brick Road
-Lynyrd Skynrd One more for/from the road
-Billy Squire Don't say no.

Are you the Loud Love of fame? Or do you just like their music?

I would try to take albums that I either hadn't heard before, or hadn't heard that much of by artists I respect. Perhaps...

Dylan - "Basement Tapes" or "Self Portrait"

Capt Beefheart - "Trout Mask Replica"

The Kinks - "Are the Village Green Preservation Society"

Maybe the best thing would be to take along audio books - Marilyn Monore reads "War & Peace"

As I think that "Best of" and "Greatest Hits" are bit of a cheating in the sense of the thread, I would choose these:
Queens Of The Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf (or maybe Kyuss - And The Circus Leaves Town, not 100% sure about this one)
Cream - Disraeli Gears
The Beatles - Abbey Road

I think we could almost use this thread as a legal and binding age/ID check for liquor sales.

As for me, I'll go with:

a) Randy Newman - Good Ole Boys
b) pending...
c) pending...

Make mine a St. Pauli Girl....
