Have been listening to alot of his playing lately and no matter what rig it is it's always sounding so fat and juicy! I know his great playing/feel and writing help but he always sounds good to me.

Well To The Bone, Dog Party, Tore Down House and the newer live disc - Matchless, modded Fenders, CAE pre, OD100, TS, Maxon SD9 - it all sounds great!

Anyone know what he's using for his dirtiest lead tone these days? Is it the dirty channel on the amp or the SD9 of a combination?

I don't know how current it is, but this page and what he's said about his rig (and similar statements by splatt) inspired me to go in a more pedal-oriented direction for dirt tones:
