I'm looking for a way to mod a Big muff to get the HUGE low end of the Black Russian Muff, with the High end Clarity of the NYC Ri, with a flatter mid range too. Any one got any ideas?
So far on my NYCBM I've done the tone stack mod that replaces a single cap to get more mids, and done the creamy dreamer mods...but I still miss the huge low end I get with my Black Russian Muff. Is there any way to get the best of both?

Well lows/highs are going to be a capacitor/resistor change somewhere in the circuit. I'm sure if you look around you can find out which capacitors to change.

Try that site towards the bottom. There's all the component differences. That may help you to get the russian tone. Also, try the BMP tone stack mods on beavis audio. They have a body control that's supposed to be able to take you from a flat response to a scooped response.

Install an effects loop on it (very easy) and put a cheap EQ in there. That way you have ultimate control over the way your muff sounds. In my opinion, that's the best, most useful mod a big muff can receive.
