Finally my gear arrived. Safely. :D

It's a big box for the 1x12 cab w/ Celestion Blue in it:

Dr. Z did a great job with spread-on foam for packaging:

Finally, the cab has landed. It comes with "Salt & Pepper" grill cloth:

Thanks. Dr. Z's head & cab are surprisingly well constructed. I can tell it's a few notches better the the Fender ones. Tone-wise, it's a killer.

The blue speaker is really quiet and no hum when it's in idle. The tonal dynamic is really distinctively well. I'm very impressive.

Thanks Pete. 2 knobs and no non-sense. It's great. I used to have a note book to keep track of the tones I like. With the ghia, it's so simple, I don't think I need to do that anymore. :phones

Gorgeous- I'm a Z head too, and those Ghia's are really something special. I have not had experience with any of his cabinets, but I've heard from several people, both Z amp users and otherwise, that they are extremely top of the line. Nice! Makes me want to snag another Z... maybe the Jaz 20/40? Remedy? AHH!!! ;)

Enjoy
Ben

I really dig my Ghia. The thing that I think is so great about it (besides the tone) is that it really allows your different guitars to sound....different! Great amp.

Dr. Z's cab ("Z-Best") is really top notch. It's extremely well constructed. Heavy, yes, very heavy especially with the Celestion blue speak which is almost 10lb by itself. It's made with Baltic Birch plywood. The rear panel is removable, that's flexible for open or close cab configuration.

Dude, yes!!! Thanks for reminding me. I'm gonna try the LP and ES-335 with it today. It's so much fun with the strats yesterday, I didn't even remember to play that with the Gibsons. :nuts

Congrats!

They are great amps. I run mine through a Z 1x12 with a Red Fang or an Avatar 112 with a Celestion Blue. The Ghia loves pretty much any speaker out there.

Mind to post some pics?

As you can see, I'm a bit 'Z'-addicted.

Congrats!
