How could I do this? The problem is that I sometimes forget to turn the reverb on and i dont know that its still on. I would like a DIY install on it. Thanks!

When you turn the reverb off on the footswitch, all it does is ground the wet signal before the recovery stage.

To do what you are proposing would require a power supply, such as a 9V battery stuck in the pedal (or a mod to your amp which will create a power supply and safely serve it to your pedal using a length of appropriate insualated wire), and a custom pedal enclosure with a 2PDT stomp switch.

In short... not recommended. :)

Swapping the switch to a DPDT and using a 9v is actually really easy for a DIY'er. (you will also need the LED, and a resistor somewhere between 300-1500Ω.) You should get quite a bit of life out of it (we left one on for 8 days straight, just to see how long it would last). And, it can fit into "most" Fender footswitch boxes. No need for a custom box.

It creates no noise issues, or safety issues. I would recommend it as a beginner project. I would not recommend trying to run voltage through the reverb switch wire. That would be much more of a pain.

link? or maybe some instructions? Thanks for the hope!

9v battery and holder,battery wiring harness(rat shack),two LED's and holders,two colors of 20 gauge wire,two 470k 1/2 watt resistors.
Hook up the long lead on the LED's to the positive of the 9v battery, run the negative lead to one of the 470k resistors and the other end to the negative on the foot switch.Same for the other side.
Stepping on the foot switch completes the circuit through the resistors to the 9v battery.Use an ohmmeter to find out which lead is open on the switch.
Easy as pie.

You can actually buy switches like that - I use the Nobels FS-1L, but there are others like it, too.

470kΩ seams really high. 470Ω seams more like it. For that matter 1/8th watt should be more than adequate for this.

Thanks man! Hopefully i can get to it this weekend. So those Nobels switches take care of the problem all together? Or do i need to install the battery and battery holder and wire it up?

Yeah,I meant 470 ohm.470k probably wouldn't light up the diode!I just don't like working with small resistors,so I use 1/4 watt wherever I can.

Nope, nothing to install - it has a battery compartment, just like an effects pedal.
