I currently have a Pignose G40v amp that I'm going to put into a empty Fender Champ 12 cabinet. This way I can use a 12" Jensen Alnico that I have for this amp. My question to all the experienced builders here is that the open panel for the Fender cab is about 15 1/2" while the G40v is 12". What should I use to attach the Pignose to the Fender cab amp straps and what can I do to make up for the difference in size. Thanks in advance.

Probably just use a piece of 1/2 plywood. It might not be pretty, but it would work.

Thanks Adam. That was the only thing that came to mind on my end too. I was wondering if some kind of metal bracket, like a piece from an erector set, connecting the amp on one end and to the amp straps on the other would work

If you want to go that route, I would go to a metal supply store and get some 1/8 aluminum to use. It would be stronger, and also wouldn't rust.

I just couldn't get any metal brackets to do the job correctly so I ended up drilling holes. For a novice modder like myself, it's not too bad.
