Gibson Showcase Sale

Gibson is apparently selling some of its demos, samples, one offs, etc.

Anyone going?

Is it a sale in that stuff is for sale, or a sale in that stuff is on sale for cheap(er)?

I was at the showcase last weekend. They had a lot of nice guitars in there. Normally, they sell for MSRP only in there, or just below, which is rediculous. My guess is they want to clear stock and will sell them for normal rates. They probably had 40 LP's in there between custom shop and Epi's.
They had a boat anchor Custom in there, Warren Haynes model, some nice hollow bodies, some of the crazy looking hollowed V and revers V guitars, and a studio that really played well. I think it was a one off color...light back, but it was a great playing guitar.

It's Unbelievable Pricing...


and if you recall, then they introduced their Gibson T-Shirt line at $75 for a screen printed T-Shirt...to me that was "unbelievable pricing"...so....

For kicks I called today to see if I could buy an Epiphone Emporor Regent over the phone.

The guy told me that I reached the retail side. I asked if there was a number that I could call to find out what they had and he said, "I don't think they even know what they have. Just come on down and look."

Well, I'm 8 hours away, so that's not going to happen.
