How many people have there amp on for more than 8 hours a day?

How many people have there amp on for more than 8 hours a day? My job only takes me away from he house a few hours a day, which leaves me plenty of tim to play. I usually turn my amp on when I get up, I play guitar off and on throughout the day, and turn it off before I go to bed. Anybody else do the same or similar?

I'll leave 'em on all day, throwing them on standby if they have the option (my new PRRI does not have a standby switch, but its been subject to the same routine and seems fine).

I know several producers who turn the amps on when the tape starts to roll (or the hard drive starts to spin) and turn them off when the tracking is finished, often weeks later.

The decent ones are built to be used, and the other ones will usually go tits-up fairly quickly.

i accidentally left my amp on overnight yesterday.. good to hear that this is not a big deal. how long do tubes last on average for you guys that leave them on for long hours?
