I ran across a few ads for new and used Pete Cornish pedals and have seen them advertised and sold for astounding prices, much higher than those shown on his website.

Examples: new P-2 on eBay for $1,900 and a used G-2 for $1,350.

OKay, what up with these high prices (did I miss Pete's demise?)?

The prices have been rising sharply for the last year or so---eBay is where I've seen some nutty prices..Pete Cornish is not thrilled @ all..Love my G2 though

I saw recently that someone around here wanted a P1. Don't remember who but they're out there.

So, Pete is still breathing, good! I have four PC pedals and started wondering whether I could trade them in for a new truck!! Anyone want to trade their Rossington LP for my SS-2, G-2, P-2 and NG-2?

Thanks for the explanation.

...I bet Stanley could buy a truck with the cash he gets from that P1...

I love my PC pedals but........... I started building a expensive rack setup for my home studio years ago that I never finished, need to clear my credit card, got a new house, poss another kid on the way, promised my daughter to take her to Disney World lol. I have got to the stage in life where reality is starting to kick in and there are more important things in life then 5 small boxes...............then again I would prob be kicking myself for doing it!!!

Most of the time they do sell used for more than they cost new.
Regarding the prices on ebay, the P2 in particular, the seller is asking $1900.00 for it, but it doesn't mean someone will pay that.

Bottom line i guess is if you're too impatient to wait out the list...ya pay the price.

well Pete Cornish injects pure raw talent in his pedals, a proprietary method...so when aspiring posers use his pedals, they actually don't suck anymore, hence the price

I finally found these for sale on the MusicToyz web site....but there's no prices....and they have nothing in stock....yet they are listed as an authorized dealer on the Cornish web site.

What is that all about?

MusicToyz and other dealers have their OWN wait lists. Most everything that goes through the shop has long been spoken for except for maybe the occassional tuner/mute, buffer, or treble booster.

Why is this in the emporium?

There is/was a T.E.S. on ebay last week for $2,950.00! Kinda high since I think you can get one from Pete (with a wait time of many months) for around $1500.

I think what drives the prices up is being impatient.

Moved to the proper section.

Treble booster
08-03-2009, 10:48 AM
you probably guessed it.... a treble booster. It's an exact copy of Brian May's. The one used on every queen album since "Night at the Opera." In reference, I have tried tons of other treble boosters... Keeley, vintage range masters, etc... None of them come close to the musical tone of Pete Cornish's pedal. Guess that is why May kept it on full time. I purchased mine directly from Pete C.

Where is your P-2 coming from? Is it brand new w/warranty?

Why is this in the emporium?
Because it's about buying, selling and pricing, not about a Cornish pedal per se.

But the emporium is for actual sales, and btw it has already been moved to its "proper" forum.

Are there no clones of these anywhere?

Pedal's just components connected together in a box when all's said and done

No clones. Just email Pete and get on the wait list. It's about 12-15 months. No one should be paying those crazy prices, but folks do it on the DAM stuff too.
