Val-trem restoration project

this is a 62 or 63 National Val-trem. I have decided to see if I can get it working again. I have two questions.

1) Is this connector (showing bottom left and top on the right) the speaker connection, and if so, does it have a name?

2) The cylinder caps are leaking so along with the broken cap can I will be replacing those. Given they are leaking, does it make sense to replace the disc caps as well?

1. Yes. Can't remember the technical name, but either I will in about 4 hours, or someone else will chime in.

2. No. Rarely do the discs go bad.
