LA studios with nice amps?

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, but my band is in the studio right now working on a EP. We recorded the bass and drums to 2 inch tape and are now looking for equally awesome sounding guitar tones.

Anyone know of any affordable studios in LA that has nice guitar gear? We already have a few nice amps (DR Z, Fender twin, etc.), but are looking for a place that has some nice hi gain stuff..

I don't know about pricing, but you might contact James Lugo. He seems to be into higher gain sounds.

that's true, you could maybe do guitars at James' place. He has some Friedman modded Marshalls and a VH4 I think.

Alternative is rent from Hollywood Studio Rentals, they have many of the amps that were used on the hi gain amp shootout James did- Diezels, 5150iii modded Marshalls, Bogner, everything. Contact Dave Friedman.
