For any Gear Page folks in the Denver area: my surf band, the Royal Aces, will be playing along with the popular Denver garage/rock/surf band the Velveteen Loveseat on Saturday night, August 29 at 9 pm, at McDonough's Pub on East Iliff in Aurora (www.myspace.com/thevelveteenloveseat (http://www.myspace.com/thevelveteenloveseat) )
Gear notes: I'll be playing a Strat through a Fender Bassman 70 head into a 1x15 cabinet with a new Jensen Neo 15" speaker (which makes the cabinet unbelievably light - I'm getting lazy!). I'm really liking the sound of the Jensen, and would be interested in any comments from Gear Page folks who stop by regarding the sound of the rig.
