Strange 5E3 amp static?

So, I've got this 5E3, and when I move the volume knob on my Les Paul, I get static. However, when I plug my Tele or Strat into the same amp and move the volume knob I get no static. But it gets stranger: When I plug the Les Paul into any of my other amps and move the volume knob I get no static. What on earth is going on here?! lol.

Try cleaning the pot on the Les Paul. It could just be that the 5E3 is picking up the noise easier than some other amps for some reason.

5e3s pick up everything. For about a year i was hearing this intermittent brrr brrr sound. could nt figure it out. then i switched amps for a while , under the same conditions and i got the brrr. Turned out it occurred about 10 seconds before I would get an email on my blackberry

We've had a number of people bring amps in with problems that turned out to be a blackberry or an iphone (or any cell phone), in a pocket.
