I stop by the Van Halen News Desk every now and noticed they posted a couple clips of Wolfie playing the Oakland School Arts Fair. He played guitar and sang a cover of Jimmy Eat's World "The Middle" and maybe it's because I'm tired but I thought he did a great job. I saw the Van Halen reunion tour in '07 and as pissed I was that Michael Anthony wasn't part of it, I thought Wolfie held his own. Here in this video, I thought it was really refreshing to see him playing with guys his age and playing new music.
Anyways, I digress. If my eyes aren't deceiving me, is that a PRS Singlecut Trem in his hands???

Looks like a thread over at BAM beat me to the punch, he's playing a Tremonti!!!
Here's something ironic: one of the mags interviewed Tremonti not too long after Creed's My Own Prison hit it big and he was talking about how they opened for Van Halen and how Eddie and him were chatting backstage, Tremonti being in complete awe, etc etc and how EVH gave him a Peavery Wolfgang. Now, years later, EVH's kid is playing out with a Tremonti signature model PRS!!!!
Looks like a PRS to me!
Good for Wolfgang!
I saw the Van Halen tour 2 times and thought Wolfie did fine.
I hear he's a really great person and it sounds to me like he can sing and play 6 string as well as bass.

I would consider his guitar "teacher" to be one of the best available :)

I wonder if they practice at the Van Halen residence?

Definitely looks like a Tremonti. Good job by Wolfie, although his guitar tone was pretty weak. He sings and plays well, though.
The Middle is a pretty easy song. Not exactly "new" music but at least it came out in this century.

i'm guessing in the schoolyard as a kid, wolfie won a lot of "my dad's better than your dad" arguements.

His voice is excellent --- and his confidence as a frontman is spot on --- not obnoxious, just "there." Very good

If he is a TRUE Van Halen, he will soon tire of being behind the scenes and playing second fiddle, well actually 4th fiddle in van halen...he will move on and do his own thing...and will probably be successful...he grew up with eddie van halen, im sure he has a good ear and some chops

But can he write a tune? Lots of GREAT players sons like dwezil can rip your head off , but can't really put a great song together. THATS why EVH is a man among boys. I guess Tremonti did the right thing and threw him a Spare signature model like EVH did for him. Cool. :dude
Can you imagine the Gear that kid will inherit one day? :jo(Hopefully not for a loooooong while though)

Ummm, sorry dude, but you're wrong. Check out Dweezil's "Confessions" cd. Excellent songwriting, co- produced by Nuno Bettencourt. I was really surprised by how good it was.

His singing is what surprised me, sounds very good. Glad to see he's just being a kid and having some fun.

Great voice. Not "generic".....if that makes sense.

Thats about .001% of society that even knows what a Dweezil Zappa is.
I bet ya everyone knows what a Van Halen is and he's NEVER recorded a note. :dunno

It's kind of cool seeing him out front and center like that. During the VH tour it seemed as if he wanted as little attention as possible on himself.
I've got to agree with dumbell78-it's good he's getting a chance to be a kid.

I'm looking forward to checking that link out when I get home!
Also, don't forget that EVH himself sang in his early bands and isn't that shabby of a backup singer!

Wow! Just checked it out and its GREAT! Its refreshing that he's his own man vs. just playing off his dad's techniques.
Can't wait to hear more...I'd buy the album!
