For a year, I had a Roland JC-120. I used to have a valve frontend, run dirt pedals into that, and then take the Left and Right outputs and put them direct into the JC-120 power amps thus bypassing the JC preamps. I loved the sound and it made me feel like I could really dial in the EQ settings I wanted rather than having to tailor my sounds depending on the characteristics of whatever speaker I was using.

Currently I have a Cornell Romany Plus amp with a Jensen MOD 12/70 speaker that I get on really well with. The second amp is a Cornell Voyager 20 amp with a Jensen P12N speaker installed that I can't stand. I'm thinking about finding a good neutral speaker for the Voyager. I don't really want another MOD 12/70 so was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a good neutral sounding speaker. Is there anything from Weber that people might recommend? I'd like a speaker that lets the natural sound of the Voyager through.

Boost an Eminence out of a Line 6 combo or something. Those speakers are beefy, handling like 75 watts, and they're about as neutral as they get since they're out of a modeling amp.

Let me know if you want to get rid of the P12N.

Do you want American or brit flavor? There really is no neutral when it comes to vibe. EVMs are American with an in-your-face tone. A CL80 might be decent for a flatter brit speaker, but has brit break up similar to a V30.

I've never heard the stock speaker from a line 6, but might be worth a try as it'll probably cost only $20 - $30 bucks used. I know they go for neutral on those amps.

+1 more here, or maybe a JBL. But no, please get an EVM so I can have all the JBLs to myself.
