View Full Version : Bias capacitor change
Can I replace the 47u 100v bias cap with a sprague atom 50u 150v in a princeton reverb 1978 that has been blackfaced and if so what change would it have?
Thanks.

It will work fine with no other changes. Make sure you orient it with the + side to ground.

More than 100v for this cap is probably overkill, but OK. I like to use either 100u/100v or 47u/100v for the bias cap in Fenders.

You probably won't notice any change at all.
