Hi folks,
About 8 years ago the German Classical Guitar Maker Gerhard Oldiges made me a copy of an old VHS tape he had gotten from his friend José Romanillos in Spain. Romanillos is famous for making the guitars for Julian Bream, who is considered one of the worlds last "real" Classical Guitar Maestros after Segovia. The 18 minute film, which shows José building a guitar was made by students of a British Arts College. It is wonderfully filmed - not necessarily a real "how-to" video, but it is extremely interesting to just watch him using his tools and jigs.

He comments on life, guitar making in general and his personal philosophy, but the hands-on footage is absolutely superb!
I had to digitalize the film and put quite an amount of work in restoring the bad picture and sound quality. It is a wonderful document of a master at the peak of his guitar-building. Enjoy. I will post the second half in a the next two days.
