i am putting together an 18 watt lite IIb into a fender blues jr. i have a few questions.

1.) im using a solid state rectifier. its a bridge with 4 posts. how do i know which post is which.

2.) what type of input jacks do i need and how do i wire them up. i can never figure out what post on the jack goes to where on the schematic.

3.) same for the speaker jack.

thanks

Go to www.hoffmanamps.com and look in his library of information. He has diagrams of rectifier types and input jack wiring and just about everything you need.

Cool site but that shows a standard hi-lo. This is a single /parallel input

For the bridge rectifier download the data sheet for it and it will show you the connections. Take a look at this one for an example: http://www.vishay.com/docs/88655/kbl005.pdf In the picture at the top left you'll see the pins noted with a + and a -, the positive is your B+ connection, the - is the ground connection, the other two are the connections to the PT HV (red) leads.

I don't know what bridge rectifier you have, but once you identify it google the part number for a data sheet.

For the input and speaker jack, there are different types of jack, I don't know what you've got, but they are probably switching type jacks. One terminal goes to the tip, one to the contacts, one is ground. Use your ohm meter to identify which is which. With a Switchcraft type jack you can visually see which items the terminals are connected to.
