Date my Fender!!!

Hello,

Based on these numbers what year was my Fender Deluxe Reverb amp built? I bought it a few years ago and the guy told me it was a 1972. Based on some research I have done, I think it was built in 1973 or 1974.

Here are the codes starting with the power transformer:

606334
606302
606425
606428

the fourth-number from the left is the YEAR code (ie: 3 and 4 in your amp).

That means it cannot be any earlier than a 1974 model...probably late 1974. The last two numbers represent the manufacturing WEEK of the respective year...thus 606428, being the latest date, means your amp was built sometime after (2-3 mos.) week 28 of 1974...or most likely Aug or Sept 1974.

That's how I read it also. 1974

Now the speaker is a Utah with the code: 328502

So does that mean it was actually built in 1975?

re: UTAH speaker...if orginal speaker, then maybe amp is 1975...but, if it's a replacement speaker then amp is probably 1974.
