Recently I was rehearsing with my Traynor YCV20 amp when the fuse blew. This was during a break between songs, not long enough to use the standby switch. The amp made a staticy noise and that was it for the night. I ran out the next day and got some spare fuses and everything seemed fine. However the standby switch no longer puts the amp in standby. The led goes to Orange when I try to put it in standby but the amp still plays with no change in volume.

Any thoughts what's going on? I like to use the standby between sets to keep any unwanted noise from occuring.

Might have arc'd the switch.

Yeah, it sounds like the switch has melted down internally. Just replace with something similar, preferably higher rated, and rock on.

I had a Mesa Dual Rectifier that did a similar thing. It wouldn't go into standby. I bought a new switch, but the only one I could find had screw terminals on it, and it wouldn't solder. So after pulling the old switch and trying to install the new one, I went back to the old one and it worked fine after that. :dunno:

Maybe you could try heating the lugs up with a soldering iron and see if that works for now at least...
