I could use some advice from someone thats tried both of these delay pedals. I am very interested in both of these delays but I can only afford 1 of them. They are similar priced and both sound amazing from online clips. The Ardx20 has two delays but the Skreddy has modulation. Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks.

1. Both great delays
2. Only one of which is readily available (skreddy has a 5 month wait).
3. Buy the ARDX20 - simple!
-if you want modulation add a chorus pedal to your chain.

I don't really think they are comparable, at least in terms of sounds.
I have an AR20DL and I LOVE this pedal - its really the best overall short timer I've tried in terms of headroom and clarity with warmth.
I also have a Skreddy, and it has without a doubt the coolest blending and decay of repeats that I've heard in a pedal. The modulation is also the best and most natural sounding of any delay mod I've tried.
I think if you'd use the feature set of the AR20DX then it would be the logical choice, if you wouldn't and would rather have the option of modulation in a more simplistic delay then the Skreddy has few peers IMO.

What he said. The analogman does clear and warm somehow. The skreddy has mondo mojo. Both are great. I have skreddy and ar20dl.

+1,
do you want tape sounding delay or a great analog?
Also consider the length and clarity of repeats, it depends on what you want, both are great for different types of delay.

So, is Skreddy capable of clean repeats?

Yeah - AM has this formula for getting nice clarity but still with a nice analog warmth. The next best I've tried was the Malekko E300B and Arion SAD-1, thought the Arion suffered from a lack of decent headroom.
To me, if you love modulated delays, the Skreddy is fookin' bliss. I have mine set to where the mod fades in as the chords decay - its completely hypnotic and very cool that a delay can have a dynamic playing response like that. Every other delay with mod I've tried the mod sounded artificial and cartoonish and kind of rode on top of the signal. The Skreddy mod totally blends in.

If you run it at 18v it is clearer. That is not to say that at 9v it is murky or dark - it just blends in a 'soupier' kinda way.

But at 18v is still nothing like the analogman when I compared.

'hypnotic' is such a good way to describe the skreddy.

Gotta go with my Skreddy on this one... both are really great pedals though.

Bear in mind that Mike plans to incorporate an external tap tempo/mod box at some point in the next several months. So for those of you who like mod, the ARDX20 will likely have that option in the near future!
