View Full Version : timmy and power supplys
Hi all, I just contacted Paul C and ordered a Timmy, but I forgot to ask if the Timmy can be powered by a one spot. Center negative? Before calling him back I thought I would ask my question on this board since there are a lot of Timmy fans.
Yes I tried searching but to no avail.
Thanks in advance!

Yes it is center negative. So you can use a 'standard' one spot type of power supply

Yep. Runs on a one spot--no problem. It is the "boss" barrel plug. It can be run at 18v off the DC Brick or PP2

I use a Godlyke Powerall with mine. Works great.

So a boss adapter will work? Sorry, I don't use adapters but am going to purchase something soon.

Yes, Boss power supply is fine.
I run a one spot myself, no issues!

Run it with a DC Brick, essentially a one spot/power all crammed into an enclosure.

I asked if my Tim could be run at 18v. He said 18v was ok. Don't know if a Timmy is any different. I've only run my Timmy at 9v.

Does the Timmy sound any different powered at 12V (or 18V)? Not that it needs to sound any better than it does at 9V...
