With so many communication avenues available these days (cell, land line, email, social pages, snail mail, etc.) how do you prioritize your time?

Do you reply to everyone? Do you stay in contact with family first, business second, close friends, then distant friends? Are you the one that always seems to initiate the contact ,or is it the other way around? How do you feel when you do not answer an email or someone does not answer yours? Do you occasionally copy-paste the same "the wife and kids are fine" then send it to everyone in your address book?

How many emails do you exchange with a friend before the emails stop? How many question for an emporium ad before you lose interest?

I keep a small group of friends so I don't get bombarded with calls and emails. We discuss the subject at hand then go on. If I miss a call I try to get back at my earliest convenience but it doesn't bother me if it takes a couple of hours and vice versa. Everyone is busy these days so we all cut each other slack. Sometimes I initiate, other times they do, pretty even I'd say.

I feel obligated to reply to every message, even if I'm very busy. I think most people have a blind faith that nothing gets lost in cyberspace and feel snubbed if you don't reply.

I've eliminated phone calls. Seriously, I never use the phone unless absolutly neccasary, and almost never answer it. I do have 3 email accounts (main home, for close friends, gmail for general and sign in lists, and work). I read Facebook a couple of times a week.
