Ok, here's another one I don't particularly like the chart I've got for, so any advice on how you play this one is appreciated.
Basically, the the F to Cm7 chordal vamp played through most of the song. The voicings in the chart are kind of funky (in a non-Prince way) and I'm looking for something more "accurate".
I forgot to mention about the gigs I'm doing - I'm actually the only harmony instrument so sometimes these charts have been arranged "more chordally" than the original, but I've found with pop tunes I can usually do the original and the bass (and there's a horn section) can fill in the rest well enough that I don't have to sit there and just fill in the harmony.
Thanks for help with the Tower of Power - the JM help wasn't as good (what, everyone can play Tower of Power and can't figure out JM?!?!?) but I was able to cop that from the studio version I found (and it really doesn't matter in that one to be honest :-)
