I don't wanna break the bank here, people... but I'm going to be playing some console steel on some passages with a band I'm in, just need a recommendation on the least tone sucking volume pedal. You know... for swells and what not.

Under $150: Boss FV-500 series
Over $150: Hilton - simply the best volume pedal in production

ernie ball is a bit of a tonesuck, I got a goodrich instead and I love it. It's got a scratchy pot now though...too much dust I imagine.
you can grab an EB Jr and put a CAE pot in it from Bob Bradshaw and it would be super rad!

I have a BOSS FV-500 on my L.A. Sound Design board-great tone, smooth travel and rugged as heck.
