That is the oldest aggie joke:

Guy walks into his room at the A&M Corps dorm to find his roommate sitting on his bed with both ears bandaged. Roommate tells guy that he was ironing his uniform when the phone rang, and he (like Peenut) answered the iron.

Guy asks what happened to his OTHER ear.

"Well, I had to call the doctor!"
