Zorn gets fired this week.
Also - I'm convinced there is no dumber species than NFL football players.
A minute or so left, K.C. player after making a catch runs out of bounds instead of falling on the ground!

He thought he could reach the end zone by running towards the sideline. Not smart, percentage-wise, but I've seen dumber.
However, I have never seen less competent (talkin' 'bout the other team, now).
Zorn will be fired during the bye week to allow for additional time for Snyder and Cerrato (who'd I'd never refer to as "management") to tie up loose ends (to the minimal extent possible).

FINALLY! My Chiefs are no longer undefeated. Can they win 2 this year? Haley popped off in the offseason and told players he would win 2 games with 22 guys off the street. So if they don't win at least 3 this year, the median are going to give him a HUGE load of crap.

The Redskins ownership and management have an extremely high putz quotient this season...no worse, however, than other years. This is strictly another toxic effort, by a former fanboi, who could afford to buy the team. I have been a Redskins fan since 1963. La Danny is making Peter Angelos look like Snow White...:)

Firing the coach of the Redskins as a solution to their problems is kinda like putting a badaid on a bullet wound.

I meant to post this vid in the other Skins thread, but forgot about it until just now. Riggo has a few choice words to share:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvIX3S0f-2c
...and I gotta agree with him for the most part. Glad I didn't waste even 1 second of time watching that game. Their problems start at the very top and definitely filter all the way down. Zorn is a goner I'm afraid.
On a related note there's been some word (just speculation and rumor thus far) of a possible trade between Baltimore and KC for Dwayne Bowe in exchange for a 2nd round draft pick and maybe a 5th. Being a huge Ravens fan I can certainly say I wouldn't mind seeing that deal take place. :D

Zorn is fired as of now. Whether or not they tell him or the public is a different story.
The reality is that there is NO ONE on the staff to replace him. No one qualified at least. He'll ride out the season a dead man walking, and hopefully never work in the NFL again.

Anyway, looks like Zorn had a little talkin' to and won't be calling the plays from here on out:

Mike Florio at PFT is reporting that Cerrato has stripped Zorn of playcalling duties. However, they're meeting today to decide who DOES get them.
That's bass-akwards.
In news that will make most of you happy, however, Florio is also reporting that it appears that Zorn and Cerrato's futures are tied together. Basically, if Washington doesn't beat Philly this week, they're both gone.
My point is that there is no sense in firing Zorn during the season. It's not going to improve anything. New offenses are not installed during the season and whoever is interim coach almost surely won't be there next season anyway. The only (non-football) function of firing now is bloodletting.
** BTW - the Raiders might have sealed Zorn's ouster. By beating the *^*%$*#*@ Eagles they set the table for Washington in an "it can be done by a bad team" way.

Mike should check ESPN, who reported that story hours before he did.
ESPN also has reported that Sherm Lewis will be handed the playcalling duties.
Stop reading Mike Florio. He's the kind of guy who will tell you that there's a chance of rain when you are standing in a downpour.

I said it would be a cold day in hell before I rooted for the Iggles ... well, it's a cold day in hell.
Chris Wade, where are you? (You can quote me on this. :p )

So you're not saying the Florio story is wrong, just later than ESPN. So what's the problem? As YOU never referenced the story, I thought it would be news to some Skins fans on here who might appreciate it.
Florio is one of 17 or 18 Tweets I subscribe to, just to get as much NFL news as I can.

Don't worry. I'm not rooting for the Iggles next Monday because I like anything about them. I'm rooting for them only because if an Iggles victory causes the dual firing of CeraZorn, it will advance the 'Skins long-term prospects for recovery.
And BTW, I no longer support changing the 'Skin's logo to a redkin tater. I'm now convinced the name itself must go. My new proposal (I really did think this up myself) is to change the name to the Skins and use something like this for the logo: four interconnected fists (each one on the other's forearm in a square), one white, one black, one yellow, one red.

As YOU never referenced the story...
One of the things I've learned in my profession is that research wins and loses arguments.

This is the beginning of the end, thankfully. I was never behind this guy, and now it seems he will soon be behind us as well.
Always do your research Chris before making conclusory statements that you aren't sure are definite.

Agree.
The Ravens have had two very tough losses in a row. Too bad. They look like a well-run outfit with a real owner, a real coach and a real quarterback. From Delaware of all places. Good find!

Understood and agree that was what he was thinking.
But trying for points was not the important thing at that time.
Running down the clock was.
NFLer dumbness No. 2 yesterday -Was it the Jets game? I can't remember.
Defensive player intercepts pass on fourth down!
I see this all the time.
They can never seem to figure out that if they just knock the pass down they will get the ball at the line of scrimmage.
