the Greenhornes

I've been listening to The Raconteurs a lot lately and was reading about the members' previous bands and discovered Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler's old band, The Greenhornes. I got their album Sewed Soles and it kicks ass! Some awesome garage rock stuff. Anybody else into these guys?

I saw them years ago in a tiny club in Bowling Green OH. They were quite good. I really dug their sound, but I have to admit I prefer the Racounteurs. Have The Greenhornes officially broke up, is there any new music out their from them. Some friends of mine did a small tour with them way back and had a blast.

I definitely prefer the Raconteurs too. I haven't heard anything about new music but it would be cool to hear some. I think Jack's still on tour with the Dead Weather right now but hopefully after they're done we'll hear some new Greenhornes stuff.

I really like the Greenhornes--more my style than the Raconteurs. The first album with the organ player is killer.
