Great band on the current live dates opening for The Crowes. Two guitar punch of Campbell and Weider and some great female vocals from Levon's daughter and the other singer.

Great performance.

I started reading his biography of The Band "This Wheel's On Fire" last night when I got into bed. It was one of those situations where I was already late getting into bed but I wanted to read just a little bit to get started and make myself sleepy, yet an hour later, I was having to pry the book out of my hands and force myself to go to sleep like a pouting 6 year old, heh. He has a great, conversational writing style that pulls you in and makes you want to read (or "listen" as it were) to him all night; it reminds me of "Cash" by Johnny Cash, a must read.

Wonderful all around. Levon has such a great groove and soulful voice. Adding in Hiatt was the icing on the cake.

Musically aside, he's inspirational to me as what I hope to be at his age. He's purely living a life that he finds enjoyment in, and he's doing the music for the right reasons still. Such an awesome person.

A true original. And an American treasure! Love Electric Dirt, but Dirt Farmer will always have a place on my Ipod, in heavy rotation.

I didn't wathc the youtube, but Did get to catch one of his Rambles in Woodstock, and a show at Radio city. Bithe were awesome, and if he's added Weider to his band thats even better. Hard to find a palyer with a better knowledge of roots rock. He's an encyclopedia of americana guitar.

Like they say, "he's the only drummer that can make you cry..."

One of my absolute favorites... you can see his personality from watching him play, etc.- really enjoys playing and singing... the whole thing. Would love to have in for a neighbor like Splatt... damn.
