Hey guys,
So my firm is having a talent contest. After much arm twisting, I was persuaded by coworkers to submit a video. I edited about 5 minutes of improv on three different backings, recorded around 2005 or so.
Of course I am not expecting any favorable outcome..... Lots of karaoke and bar band vids.... Jazz is not exactly that commercially viable.
Here is the clip.... I know the transitions are rough but this is actually much better quality than most of the submissions....

Great playing and tone (no surprise). If you don't win, you should post the vid that does, so we can see what you're up against!

Good luck on the talent contest Scott. Great clips, seen many of them before, but they are great examples of top shelf playing. I know where my vote would be cast.

So they compressed the heck out of my clip on the firm website! Must be like 24kbps.... All pixelated and smeary. Sounds underwater too.
At least all the other entries are like that too!

Scott, won't you give a guy some good jazzy progressions to work on. Something in your style. TheGearPage Lerner lesson progression.

Good Luck!!
Had alot of respect for you until I saw you slap her!:nono
Great chops as always!
RE the commercially viable comment, as much as I love to play fusion on small guitars, unless your on stage with a band, or invisible on a recording...the general public wants a big acoustic or semi acoustic intrument (or similar tone thereof) and a tune they are familiar with....
Just sayin'....if you really want to win:wave
PS: This looks / sounds commercially viable to me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEbRDlW3tIA&feature=related

I play what I like to play and feel....
