Hi,

I've had good luck over the years locating jobs via Monster and Careerbuilder. I recently did a 3-month paid subscription with the Ladders, with zero luck.

I'm a Sr level mechanical engineer and have been job hopping a bit over the last 3 years, mainly to stay employed.

Has anyone had any luck with the Ladders? It seemed geared mostly to IT professionals to me.

Any other job search sites I should check out?

Thanks,

I really like Indeed.com. I have a good job but I hate the commute so I have been looking. I find Careerbuilder to be okay. Some people like simpleyhired.com. Monster is all spam to me these days as are a lot of the sites. I even know people who have found good jobs on craigslist.

Never tried ladder. Monster is a big pain in the a**. I get offers to sell insurance every day and I'm a systems analyst! Spam, spam, spam!

Actually had the best luck from linkedin

Check out dice.com as well. It's good for independent contractors.

Find out some leads on the Ladders and then piece it together (company info) by other means - seach engines, etc. Not many people I know have - or would continue to - spend $ on the Ladders.
