I was there. Great show except for some drunk southern white trash that was standing by me.

I don't think you were really there and can make a post about it without mentioning the horrible first two songs. However you do sound like you were sitting beside me.

What were the first 2 songs he opened with and what exactly was horrible about them? Just curious.

I honestly don't know what they were. Because his microphone sounded like it had a ring modulator 100% wet with the feedback dimed, bass 0 mids 0 treble 11, and actually set up to mic his monitor for infinite sustain (maybe slightly off access.)

It was terribly impressive to me how professional they were with it. Didn't miss a beat, that I noticed. Actually I assume they cut alot because he on the first song he came out with a double necked guitar and only used one neck. Unless your trying to fool yourself into thinking that your LP's are light later in the show I can't imagine wearing it for the fun of it. But I didn't noice the cut.

After the second song he says, "We're going to take 5 minutes to fix this Bull Sh*t." They trade out his micophone and it's all good from there. After the next song goes off so well he says, "I was worried I was getting tinitus, but then I saw everyone elses face and I'm pretty sure tinitus isn't contagious."

Honestly if he wanted to get a standing ovation for the intro to his third song every night that was the way to do it. I have never enjoyed a tone like I did for that third song.

Yeah the first two songs were a mess but not on the band fault. You could tell that Joe was upset not only with that slight problem but also when he went to do his acoustic song and there was another mic problem. Overall though, it was another great performance by Joe and his playing was again top notch. I saw him last October as well. Again I just wish Center Stage had some better white trash patrol! Sure hope any of the people next to me did not drive home last night!

hell yah travis...coming back with bridge to better days after the first 2 songs. I was sitting middle left 2nd row from the back. I honestly don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Then again I was tossing down Pints of PBR but man I really enjoyed the show. However, sad to say I missed the music breakdown he did with him and his keys guy midway through. Drank so much beer, I had to go to the bathroom and im telling you. I have never held it like I did. It was the best feeling of relief I have ever felt. Fantastic show and will go back when he comes again. Maybe I can be on the floor this time.

I don't want that too come off as criticizing in anyway. I hope in the same situation I will handle it half as well. All said and done I was thrilled. I've listened to a lot of his music and twice last week watched the Royal Albert Hall DVD. He has added some cool licks to his songs since then. I imagine that he probably gets tired of playing the exact same every time. The changes/additions were seemless and much appreciated. And, if possible, added even more tasteful use of his Therimin, the last "note" on it where he brought it up just perfectly to the pitch his guitar was sustaining was very impressive. No need to even mention his tone, we all know that was incredible.

Yes it was a great theater I was very glad not to be on the floor as a lot of the time they had to stand becasue people in front of them had chosen to stand. At a show like this I like to sit back and enjoy.

What was wrong with his acoustic? Sounded on to me so I assume it was not coming through the monitors???

I think it's spelled Therimin. Hit up you tube for some cool uses. Does anyone have a schematic I'd like to try and build one?
