hey guys-
I had an idea this weekend as I was playing around with the X3.
I was thinking that the M9 and M13 units are essentially the Line 6 efx stuff in a stompbox format. so....

I bypassed the amp stuff and set up some banks as sets of delays, mods etc.
and used them into my clean amp.

sounds great! I can notice some "coloring" to the cleanest of sounds. The AC30 sounds best with the stuff going into it, and my blackface is great too, but the distortions don't sound as great.

anyone else doing this?

I have used my X3 with my GT Soul-O in the "4 wire" method: distortion and comp in front of the amp / modulation and delay in the loop and it works pretty good. definitely had to work with the signal levels to keep the noise down. Weakest link is the distortion models. Also use my Keeley Comp and FDII with the X3.
