Hey guys, who has one or has heard one? What are the Jet lines like? Are they dumble inspired or are they something else? I was wondering how much of a studio/bedroom amp this is and if you could briefly talk about the tone or versatility of the amp that would be awesome too!

I don't have the J2 but have a Jet Sig...it's a great amp but just wanted to point out that it's not really a great low volume bedroom practice amp. It's sound different at low volume vs. regular volume as oppose to my Classic Reverb which seems to sound really good even at low volumes. Not sure what your definition of bedroom level is though. Just b/c it's small doesn't mean practice amp...it's more for convenience of going to the gig/jam. Took it out yesterday...so convenient and light to carry. At one point I was carrying the Jet in one hand and my baby girl in the other.

agreed, it's not a bedroom amp. listen to my soundclick site. all blues, maiden voyage and cantaloupe island were all recorded with the jet and a 112 cab. shure 57 mic on the speaker.

I have one (J2) and it is a totally different amp than other Jets. Different circuit and its a beast in comparison. I love the J2.Incredible amp IMHO. Has amazing clean and lead tones. Can really deliver almost any tone and you decide what that tone is. Really explosive amp. Touch sensitive and punchy little bugger. Booted out my grail Two Rock as it had better definition and is thick and articulate at the same time. I LOVE the J2. Great cleans and gain stuff!!!! This amp rips and may be one of my favorite Two Rocks ever made.

Does anyone have any high quality clips and what kind of amp was it modeled after? They say Lindey but I have no idea what that means.

I could make some low quality clips as all I have is a Edirol R9 Handheld recorder. That said I could put up some clips of various tones that I like and certainly not all inclusive of what it can do but a taste.

i think the big difference is the internal tonestack which make this amp essentially an hrm design. am i right on that? and from what i've gathered that changes the way the od works. like you need to use the pab to get the good od. the regular od is dampened by the resistance of the internal tonestack. correct me if i'm wrong please.

It depends on the design. I liked my E.Pro with the boost off, and its HRM. (Almost all of my emmy clips were no boost) Also, some of my Quinns best tones were with boost off and it was an HRM as well.

Thanks guys... I :agree with Steve on this one.

The clean channel in this TR is more Tweed sounding to my ear. Most TRs have a very thick BF type tone in the clean channel. The J-2 is a little more grindy... in a good way. The lead channel has more gain on tap too. I have the gain trimmer on the HRM circuit turned almost all the way down, but it still out gains my 100-watt 10th. Great little amp!

For those that are interested, here is a clean clip... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8rZBCSwZaI&feature=related
