It depends on what they are looking at.

There's 587 other gear related forums for you to post in Shovelhead. Looks like the Pub isn't the right place for you.

I know. me too. Sometimes I forget the smiley.
As long as you don't try to play with me in the bathroom.

There needs to be an option between yes and no. Like "I'd prefer you didn't but if you do it's no big deal".

Enough with the middle ground and stop waffling. Pick a side. It's time Americans got used to making decisions again.
:P
This reminds me of a joke:
A guy steps up to a trough style urinal and notices the guy already there has a penis tattoo, that begins with a W end ends in Y. So he asks, did Wendy make you get her name tattooed on your dick to? The other fellow responses, no ma'n, I'm Jamician, it says Wonderful daY

Talking's one thing . . . gazing southward is another matter entirely.

I am fine with it, only if I know the guy. Some random dude wanting to strike up a convo while we are whizzing is a bit too odd for me. How about talking on the cellie while takin care of biz. Time for another poll?

if I know the guy, it's ok.
if I don't know the guy, it better be at a concert, club, beerfest, or crowded bar where everyone is expected to be drunk. otherwise it's a little weird.

I don't care if it's someone I know and we were having a conversation when we walked in.

I didn't think much about it either way. It's not like I was going to be seduced in some fashion or must have complete concentration to complete the task at hand. But now, I'll be thinking of this every time I enter the washroom.

Join the military. Any phobias you have will be erased very quickly.

Yes. It's not a group activity, despite being a group activity at that point in time.

If I don't know you, I don't want to get acquainted at the urinal. If I do know you, and we were already having a conversation, then it doesn't bother me too much. My preferred state while at the urinal, is silence.

Not at all. I usually will not talk to a stranger unless they talk first. But if it's someone I know, sure. Why not?
there should be an option for acceptable conference call etiquette while in the stall :)
seriously, today this guy was having a very loud conference call while on the crapper. dude, can't you get a conference room :dunno

I don't mind talking, but I wouldn't want anyone to expect a handshake.

It's definitely odd, but doesn't bother me nearly as much as walking in to an empty men's room, hearing conversation, seeing that the stall door is closed, and some bozo's talking out loud on their cellphone, on de throne!
I guess some business really CAN'T wait. :rotflmao
I just hope they drop it in the toilet.

LOL. I'm not sure what could be done with this marketing data.

It's okay as long as they don't say "I feel you."

I'm not complaining. I just get a lot of people that hate my car polls because they think I'm doing marketing for the auto industry or some kind of BS.
I'm just kidding.

No big deal...but try asking how people feel about conversations while they're sitting in a stall....

I don’t mind the occasional chat when I’m at the urinal. In fact, sometimes I initiate such chats.

It's not like I...must have complete concentration to complete the task at hand. I'm the exact opposite.
I do like to concentrate on the task at hand. I can't think of anyone I know well enough (male or female) that I want to talk to while taking care of business.

One time while at the urinal somebody stood next to me and said "so I hear this is where all the d*cks hang out". :dunno

Oh, one thing I did forget to mention…
It can get quite weird if you’re in the middle of a conversation and one of you finishes before the other. Usually, the person still peeing will want to continue the conversation while you’re sort of standing there doing nothing and looking at the wall. Not a good look if someone else enters the bathroom, I would submit. Breaking off the conversation well is key if you want to ‘talk’ in the bathroom.

It totally depends on what is being said...e.g. while at the trough during a football game it's ok for someone to comment on the game: "did you see that interception?", but it's not ok for them to say "oh, you've got a nice one"....
