I was at my bro's house this weekend, and this question came up. Here's pretty much what we agreed upon, in no particular order:

Napoleon Dynamite
Caddyshack
Office Space
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
The Jerk
Animal House
Borat
40 Year Old Virgin
Blazing Saddles
The Spy Who Shagged Me

Raising Arizona and Big Lebowski, in the Top 5.

Porky's was one of the funniest - everyone in the theater was laughing so hard you missed a lot of the punch lines.

Past 25 years? Get your dates straight...(or your math)

Blazing Saddles was 1974
MP & THG was 1975
Animal House was 1978
The Jerk was 1979
Caddyshack was 1980

Not to nitpick, but:

Blazing Saddles
The Jerk
Caddyshack
MP & Holy Grail
Animal House

Are all WAY older than 25 years! 1984 is the cutoff date. That means you have to add:

Planes, Trains, & Automobiles
'the Burbs
Uncle Buck
Dumb & Dumber
Toy Story

I disliked the Austin Powers movies. The gag got old really quick. Borat wasn't funny at all and Office Space was just OK.

I'd have to add Anchorman, Airplane, and maybe Better Off Dead

If I thought about it longer, I could probably come up with a different list as far as 'top 10', but here's the 'off the top of my head... top 10' in no particular order:

The Princess Bride
Sixteen Candles
Real Genius
Better Off Dead
3 O'clock High
The Big Lebowski
Office Space
Super Troopers
The Wonder Boys
High Fidelity

Honorable mention:

A Knight's Tale
Vertical Limit (Greatest Unintentional Comedy of All Time; supposed to be a serious action movie, but it's so bad it's good [hilarious])

Another vote for "So I Married an Axe Murderer".

Mike Myers as Stuart Mackenzie was just brilliant. His rant about "The Colonel" and the secret pentavirate, or his constant chiding of his son, William, and his head. "Head, pants! Now!" Brilliant!

And the cameos by Michael Richards, Phil Hartman, Charles Grodin, and Steven Wright were funny too.

Screw the 25 year and 10 movie limit!

What's Up, Doc
Mr. Blanding Builds His Dream House
The Money Pit
Big Lebowski
Airplane!
Kingpin
Tropic Thunder
Father Goose
The Pink Panther
Better Off Dead
Young Frankenstein
Snatch
O' Brother Where Art Thou
M*A*S*H
Lady Killers
Kelly's Heroes
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
The Jerk
Animal House

Absolutely. Stuart Mackenzie is one of the most quotable characters ever. Every time I pass a KFC, I harangue my wife with the rant about the Colonel. And my children are probably getting tired of being called "Head" by now. That movie has ruined life for my family, but it's kept me laughing all these years. :D

Phil Hartman's "Vickie" character is priceless. "In this cell block, Machine Gun Kelly had what we in the prison system call...a bitch..."

Alan Arkin's kinder, gentler police chief trying to be mean was also brilliant.

My one buddy used to run around yelling "Head ,Pants !Now!".lol
I remember another guy that used to get drunk and round the bar, telling chicks"Git in ma belly!!!"

Although it is new, I think that The Hangover will stand the test of time.

Also, I would add Dazed and Confused.

There are many that had great moments, but few for me held it for the entire movie like the ones older than 25. (Caddyshack, Animal House era). Superbad comes close.

wow, was that even a comedy? as I recall, it was an incredibly riveting and disturbing drama.

A dark comedy. Dramatic overtones perhaps, but a comedy in the "The Graduate" vein
