It was a pretty limited release -- played in Philly for a week or so. Only grossed about $1.5 million total.
But most documentaries have very limited box office draw (except for stuff like Michael Moore, etc.). It should do better and find an audience with its DVD release... as many films do. I'll be picking up a copy...

Waiting on the DVD as it did not come my way.
Still not too thrilled about the Edge in it though. Just never liked his vibe.

Pretty good film, but did not live up to the hype IMO. Still, it had it's moments and I'm glad I got to see it in a theater. It was here for about a week in a small independent theater.

Limited release -- it's really tough for independent films to get much exposure, unless they have major distribution or a huge buzz (which means they get picked up by a big distributor).
Theater chains are like Walmart -- very tough for anything smaller to get a chance.

Yea I preordered mine on BLU RAY so I get to see all of Pagey's wrinkles. I heard there's even a quick shot up his shorts for all us real fans to take pleasure in!

I went and saw it at the local art house...I felt it was worth seeing.
He goes into this back room type place and picks out a guitar from a shelf of MANY MANY all in cases...
He opens it and its an old beat up Gibson Les Paul from his touring days.
he starts playing it and you feel it...
Nice to see jimi page playing a riff without anything or anyone backing it up...
The guy has a vibe and you feel it just from those notes he plays.

I saw it and liked it. New respect for the Edge for me. I think it was on for maybe two weeks here.
I thought "the moment" was the looks on Edge and Jack White's face while Page was riffing away on Whole Lotta Love. They both looked like two little kids who were just happy to be there.

It got loud.
Yes, I remember that there was speculation as to whether or not it would do that very thing. I remember hearing that it was a possibility. But I never heard whether it did, in fact, get loud. Thank you for updating us.

I saw it and loved it. If you're a musician you'll enjoy seeing the creative spirit that each of these guys has... regardless if you like them or not.

Doesn't the DVD come out a week before the BluRay copy?
At least I thought that's what was happening.

The website says 'On Blu-Ray and DVD December 22nd'.
Ramble On....
I dug it. The shocker for me was that Jack White won me over in a big way . Now i dig him, before not so much .

One of the things I liked about it was I finally saw how Page played "Ramble On". Although I think he may have used other chord shapes on the acoustic...
I thought it was a great flick. Took my son and we both enjoyed it.
