Most Strat pups have the middle pup wound reverse polarity to cut the hum. If it's a set of P90's I believe the bridge is reverse polarity.

I read that that switching from positive to negative polarity causes global warming.

Speakinf of polarity threads on the guitar sectios there were some posts on the reason Wildwood 10s sound so good is because the neck and body has matched polarity.
