I would at least like to see the Texas Longhorns get a verbal commit from him!

He's ready right now.

Can he be in Irving tomorrow afternoon?

That is really crazy.

Someone is bound to get hurt with that kid playing.

I'm with you here. I love big hits but these kids are 6 years old! Someone needs to move this kid up a league before one of these little guys gets hurt.

All I hear is a bunch of cheering. Did I miss something?

Listen to the maniac shouting like it's a barroom brawl during the 2nd hit, especially.

I've always thought parents should be banned from watching kid's sports. Seriously.

No different then when I was a kid playing sports. I just heard people cheering for their kids and getting excited so don't have a problem with it. I did hear one guy growling or doing something, but that was one guy. I don't hold everyone responsible for the way one guy behaves. We played rough as kids and it was fun to us. Of course, there were a few parents that took it over the top, but most parents just cheered for their kids and we all had a good time.

So what are the odds he's a bully as well?

I think it is impossible to judge if the kid is a bully or not by how he plays football.

Exactly.....parents were out of control maniacs back then, as well!!

I started a thread a while back on youth football when my son started playing tackle this year. I am a huge football fan and played 6th grade through high school, but the culture of youth football I see as a parent is crazy. Never would have thought I'd say this, but I hope my son goes back to soccer.

We obviously see things differently. You see maniacs in the video and I see parents cheering for the kids. I didn't see anyone out of control in the video.

I love football.. I played peewee football through high school.... we started in 3rd grade... I still think that is pretty young for full contact tackle football.. six year olds playing in full pads? That is just a bit over the top.

My son prefers soccer... probably works out for us because he is on the very small size for his age... but he does like football.. so far, he has only played flag football and he is in the fifth grade...

The difference in size in some of the kids on the video is pretty big...

The second hit might look worse.. but that is because the running back leaves his feet a bit when he sees the hit coming.... and then the much bigger size of the tackler takes over.....

The first hit was the brutal one... the qb just holding the ball waiting for his running back.... who is clueless... and then gets wiped out.

I played with a couple kids like that
as we got older...they got a lot older...and bigger
turned out they were 2-3 years older than the age limit
cheapened that sweet championship season for me

oh and forget the parents cheering
you should try to live through one of those practices with the coaches screaming
and hitting you when you weren't hit hard enough
(by your older and bigger teammates)
good times in little rock ymca football...not bad times

Is that QB crying after the first hit?

Is that QB crying after the first hit?

Yeah. Not cool.

It's not the kid's fault. Those hits prove he's just much bigger, faster and stronger than the other kids. Whoever is running the league should move him into a more competitive division. He'll improve as a player and the other kids won't have to fear for their lives and end up hating football.

The kid should probably move up a notch. But with all the whining about hitting the QB...yeah, maybe he IS ready for the NFL.

That last hit should be a penalty. There was no attempt to wrap and tackle, it was simply a "ghetto hit." Human missile hits are not tackles and should be penalized every time.

I agree the kid should be moved up a notch. It would be beneficial to him because he would get even better playing against better competition. He obviously has a lot of skill at the game right now; however, I guess if you recognize the kid's talent that makes you nothing more than a typical chest thumping pub member.
