Sony, Samsung, Sharp.

When shopping, make sure to evaluate the BlueRay, HD, and (especially) non-HD pictures.

There's a lot of non-HD programming out there. Often, shows are upsampled to HD...not the same as something shot in high-def.

Samsung is very good. Just bought a 46" 120Hz. Be sure to work the price. Where in Central NJ are you? IEI on Rt 36 in Hazlet has better prices than Best Buy.

Can't go wrong with Sony. My neighbor has had nothing but horrors from Samsung so I'll never go that route. Same with a BluRay player...Sony.

i have a samsung LCD and it needed a $395 repair about 2 months after the warranty expired..i won't be buying that brand anytime soon

Buy a Sony XBR and you'll have the best picture you can currently buy in an LCD, and a very reliable product.
