i've been intrigued by the geiger counter for quite a while. seems like it'd be a nice tool to have in the studio for layering guitar textures. probably sounds great on drum machines too.

Just took delivery of one today. Just now sitting down with it...I've got about 5 minutes with it so far...I just made a quick clip with a little handheld field recorder playing the GC into a Goatkeeper and Choralflange..into the clean channel of my Mesa Mark IV. There are thousands of sounds in this box..it's pretty damn cool. I think it's a keeper.
here's the dumb little clip..i'm on setting 20-21 for most of it, then towards the end I kind of scroll around..

i just picked up the Civilian Issue, sounds great. i'd been using an OTO Biscuit but it's got a home on drums already. the Civ is just enough for guitar. goes from lite fuzz to fax machine to completely blown out scratchy digital noise. it's got a home just past my marshall & mesa emulator pedals & before modulation -> delay. the preceding distortion pedals will feed it a nice resonant hum & chorus following gives it thin crispy harmonics that just sing.
