There was (may still be) one of those places near Chuck Levins in Wheaton, MD.
You could smell it from Chucks .... wow .. that's some great stuff ....
They have a few places similar to that here in AZ .. Pollo Feliz and Pollo Loco chains .. these may be more Mexi flavored .. I think their chicken's grilled ... still good, though.

My wife is a member of the rarest of all the ethnic groups.....Japanese Peruvians.....we eat the roasted chicken at least twice a month.

Ok, this is for the NoVA peoples...
...I think we can all agree that Peruvian Chicken rules it. BUT--Super Chicken. Falls Church next to Foxes. THE best. wipes the floor with Crisp & Juicy AND Pollo Rico. Not even close.
I like antichuoco (sp?) (grilled beef heart).

Dearly departed Super Pollo in Ballston was my favorite.
From the parking lot of the Fairfax Guitar Center you can smell superb Wild Chicken in the back of the building next door. It was a few times before I realized what was going on.

My trip to Peru was the culinary high point of my life, although I ate more ceviche than anything else.

Can't say that I've tried it, but it sure does look nice. Charcoal chicken is one of my favourite things in life, btw :)

How fondly I recall those chicken joints in Lima. The menu was, like:
- One-half chicken
- Whole chicken
OK, there was probably more, but that's all I cared about. I got the whole chicken every time. They have some great Chinese food there too. Didn't find any Japanese food.

Well, if this is true our fam will have to try it. We are all seriously addicted to Pollo Rico.

I saw the title and I immediately started craving Crisp and Juicy!! I used to work right near the one on the pike and would get it daily for lunch! The chicken, the sauce and the yuca, soooooooo good!

I know this does not fit the stereotype, but another place that does great rotissery chicken is Germany ....
The Schnell Imbiss (fast food, usually road side) places usually do a delicious rotissery chicken .... Schmeckt sahr gut
If your ever there be sure to stop in and order "halbe haenchen" (half chicken) .. top it off with "pomme frits" (french fries) and you'll be in heaven

And they're good, man. All of 'em are tasty, but Super Chicken has a little extra seasoning going on. Their sides are outstanding too--the Yuca blows away anything else in the area. Got a feeling I'll be 'passing through' the area sometime this week....

Got to respond to this thread - Peruvian wife - every meal - even pizza with green salsa - touched by that cuisine. My favorite - lomo saltado - tender beef strips grilled with onions, tomatoes, peas, carrots, potatoes - served over rice with green salsa. My MIL will serve you a full plate of ceviche before dinner, followed by a plate of arroz con pollo. Great food - could get fat quickly.
Last night, we had arrachera (skirt steak) seared and simmered in onions, garlic, jalapeno and tomatoes, served on bread with tomatillo salsa and Italian giardiniera - hot as hell - with a cold Bud - the best beef sandwich in Chicago.
