So has anyone ever tweeked the lamp in a Mega Vibe?

I moved it from stock to see what it did when I first got it. It adds/subtracts highs. I really like the darkness of the mega but if you dig some fulltone deja sparkle then move that little trimmer about 1/4 way. From what I recall the trimmer is pretty much all the way towards dark. I was able to dial in pretty much any vibe I've heard with the mega but none of the others I've heard could get the mega tone. If you try it please let me know if I'm way off base.

Hey thanks. From your description maybe I should just leave well enough alone. If you don't mind how do you set the knobs?

I'm doing volume max speed and intensity at about 6.

Thanks for sharing your setting. I hardly ever touch the volume but the intensity and speed I move quite a bit.You can get one of those big knobs from radio shack for the speed pot so you can move it with your foot. I kinda think it would be cool if Kevin would put that trimmer on the exterior.

Out of curiosity how would you compare the Mega to your recently acquired MDV-2?

I like them both. The MDV-2 is easy to get a good sound out of but isn't as BIG sounding as the Mega. The Mega is in a rack, I'm planning on using the MDV-2 playing out.

The only thing I don't like about the MDV-2 is with the treadle all the way down but everything from there back to off is really very good. For $$$ I'd say the MDV-2 is the best bang for the buck out there.
