Unfortunately I think the Eagles are to blame. When they refreshed their look (successfully) in the 90's to go from the washed out wing to the modern outlined wing, plenty of teams tried to do the same - and failed.

I actually like the Browns get-up too, but so many people think they are ugly I eliminated them. The brown and orange is so far into the ugly zone, they kind of break through to the cool zone.

I don't know about the fugliest, but the goofiest was the old Patriots logo. This guy looks like a drunken pickup football game broke out at a Revolutionary War re-enactment.

I don't think Orange and Brown is the prettiest color combo, but I like the fact that Cleveland does not have a graphic on the helmet.

The state of Florida has the distinction of having all three of its teams sporting ugly lids with their ugly unis.

All the new-booty and/or realigned teams have horrible lids as well.....this means you, Panthers, Ravens, Titans and Texans....(in addition to the new-booties from the aforementioned state of Florida, Jacksonville) The Texans actually have cool unis.....but the overstylized cowskull logoed lids looks bush-league.

The Pats had cool helmets.....and now have some horrid ghost-of-Ichabod-Crane thing going on.

The Donks had an ugly lid/uni to begin with.....and somehow found a way to make it even worse, despite the fact that they adopted manlier, more accepatable hues of their colors ....I don't know how they did it.....someone should investigate.


On a related note....they should execute the guy who thought it was a good idea to introduce neon green to the Seahag getup.

The thread is about helmets. I didn't say the rest of the uniform looked bad. I actually like the rest of the uniform but the helmets are boring. They look like cheap YAFL helmets.
