I just recently acquired from another TGP member a Analog V2 Version of the KOT, but with a 3 toggle switch. The toggles switches from regular, clean boost, higher gain on both channels. "Pretty rare version of the V2?"

Can someone tell me if they own or owned one like this and if so any tips on set up? Also is this version "rare" because of the 3 way toggle switch?

Thanks,
Ray (KMD)

it's double rare!

Only made a dozen or so of the JUMBO Ver2. Made to keep the knobs away from the switches. that's probably the only Jumbo with the toggle switch and one of a handful of Ver2 with the toggle.

the manual is on my website, same as a normal ver2 except one side should be set clean and use the toggle to choose OD or DIST mode (probably hooked up to RED side)

Have fun!

You can't beat that customer service. I think I might by me some Analogman stuff after seeing all the help you give people around here.

Used to own this very exact pedal for a few months. I must have been the third or fourth owner of it, so you must be at least the fifth one. It's a v2 with the toggle switch doing the job of the internal switches. My name came up recently on the KOT list and I'll be soon having a new one!

some of them have a DIP swich setting for LED mode (dim LED feature), check the manual (on my website) and see if the DIP switch can get it working. If not, a dab of solder on the LED is probably all it needs, someone locally can probably do it. Good luck!

thanks Mike ! I really like this pedal, tried Tim and Klon but this old Kot v2 works better for what I need.

I've had KoTv2 and v4 and I think I actually prefer the way the v2 toggles between modes for a lead rhythm sort of thing. I never need to stack both KoT channels to get the gain I need anyway.

I wouldn't mind picking another v2 to try on a little tour board actually...
