I've been considering a ProAnalog MKII. Trying to find some info:

How much did these pedals sell for new?

When did Scotty switch from turret board construction to PCB?

What the tonal differences between the various germanium transistors used?

Thanks!

They were always made with a pcb. Never seen any with turret board construction. There are subtle differences between transistor types. Amount of gain and clean up with the guitar volume will vary. This is more dependent on the transistor gains as opposed to type. He's used a wide variety of transistors in his builds, but the differences are often very subtle between 2 different types with the same gain and leakage specs.

I've never seen a NON PCB version either...

Last time I say them for sale new they were around $249...mayeb a little more.

As for the trannys...that is open to a LOT of debate...

Just an FYI I bought one ahead of time (meaning I paid $300 ahead of time) and now a year latter no pedal or communication. There's many other great options out there. My opinion would be to stay away from that brand even on the used market.

My MK II is dated 12-2004 and it has a PCB. It's got the OC81D and is by far my favorite most musical sounding fuzz pedal.
