here's the deal: i have two amps and i want to be able to run one each or both at the same time.

not looking for some fancy A/B/Y box, just one that will do the job and not add any noise to the signal.

who makes this?

I asked Mike at Analogman to make me one to cover just that. I have been thrilled with it. It also has the tuner out which is very useful to me.

The Startouch offers DC input.

did you order directly from him or is there a place that has them cheaper?

Just be aware that running two amps with a simple A/B/Y could create ground loops and hum. I'd go for something with an isolation transformer that will isolate the two outputs.

i'm currently looking at one of this guy's products: http://www.startouchpedals.com/home.html

would that satisfy what you're referring to?

Contact this1ismine or whatever his name is on here.....he'll make you one for cheap and is a really nice guy. I'm not quite sure that's how his handle is spelled though. Another option would be to make your own.

hit me up, or if you want to make your own i'd be willing to walk you through it. if you're in need of isolated transformers i've personally admired Bradshaws work for many years now. good solid stuff there.

for cheaper than $125?

Great price and quality products. However, the title says ABY box but the description describes an a/b box.

Edit-NEVERMIND I read it wrong.

I could be remembering this wrong, but I believe mine was around $150 from Analogman.

I had small custom requests for it, plus the tuner out with LEDs, but it is very simple and it has been just what I needed for my rig. And yes, it has the 9V connector so I power it through my PPII. If you go to his webpage, he has a whole list of boxes and prices which would be much more accurate than my memory! A friend has a loopmaster and likes that as well. I have a few AM boxes and I am just a big fan, so when I can, I go with him.

They're bulletproof so, if you pull the trigger on it, it won't hurt it. :aok

Getting an A/B switch and a loop switch from these guys when they're ready. Heard good things.

This is the one I use and have never had an issue. I've used it to run up to two amps at a time, and sometimes as a channel switcher for my Reinhardt.
