I plug into a clean fender amp and use a timmy pedal with my big dirt pedals. So have the heavy dirt covered.

Now need low gain that is open and musical. Would be nice to add or remove mids.

Cant afford klon etc.

I'm confused, you are using the Timmy for Heavy sounds? If so, you might try the OCD for your heavier dirt, and then use the timmy for lower gain.

Good suggestion.

For my heavier sounds am using two pedals together. A modified byoc into a timmy. The timmy is not used for dirt but for tightening up the sound and putting in more punch.

My amp is a blackface and the timmy used as a low gain sounds to a little too pristine and crispy. Not bad but just need a different voice for low gain with some mid range.

I use a Barber Direct Drive Low Gain version for "transparent" OD, when I just want to add a little hair. Pretty flat fq response, reponds very well to pick attack, and pull boost to goose mids if you need it.

I'd look into Catalinbread's SFT (or maybe even the DLS... they sound awesome through Fenders & I've always found them to be great for low/medium gain).
